Ning i Jotspot: l'evolució dels wikis

"Ning is a free online service (or, as we like to call it, a Playground) for people to build and run social applications." - Aquesta weblicació te per objectiu la creació d'altres weblicacions a partir de plantilles prèviament creades. Està orientat a la construcció del que anomenen aplicacions socials tals com wikis, del.icio.us, Flickr, etc... Les aplicacions que es proposen serien en la seva majoria com wikis especialitzats en temes concrets.

"JotSpot makes simple web applications simple to build by combining wikis and web applications in an easy-to-use hosted service for workgroups." - Un altre aplicació orientada a la creació de wikis per a grups de treball reduits amb multiples usos.

Aquest productes tindrien alguns punts amb comú amb el Quickplace de IBM salvant les diferencies:
